Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how CaroHealth (“CaroHealth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, membership offerings, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers and contact data: such as name, email address, phone number, and postal or ZIP code when you submit forms, create an account, or communicate with us.
  • Commercial information: such as plan selections, add-on choices, and transaction-related details associated with your membership.
  • Payment information: payments for membership are processed by our payment processor (Braintree, a PayPal company). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; Braintree collects and processes payment data according to its own privacy policy and terms.
  • Internet or device data: such as IP address, browser type, device type, general location derived from IP, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected through logs, cookies, and similar technologies.
  • Communications: content you send when you contact us (for example, email messages).

How we use information

We use information for purposes including:

  • Providing, operating, and improving the Services;
  • Processing enrollments, payments, and subscription management;
  • Communicating with you about your membership and our Services;
  • Security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting;
  • Complying with law and enforcing our terms; and
  • Analytics to understand how the Services are used.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers who perform services on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing). We require service providers to use information only as directed and to provide appropriate safeguards.

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CaroHealth, our users, or others.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and analyze traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain features.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing (such as targeted advertising, where applicable). You may also have the right to appeal our response to a request, as provided by law.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information on our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
